I’ll add to this over time…
I am starting to write posts on a site and may have found my “secret sauce” to keep going.
So I run like 20 incomplete sites which I obsess over for a week and then abandon for 9 months and continue this cycle. I pay around $200 a year for these and only made like $16 so far lol. They were good for tax deductions for a few years though.
So, while I’m writing I have distracting “tangent thoughts”, like this one to “hey let the ADHD people know”, that make me fail at completing my posts.
While I don’t have a way to complete the posts, because I never feel “done”, I do have a way to keep getting info out.
FYI this is being done in my own WordPress installs but can be done other platforms i believe.
First, open a new browser window, not just a tab and have your article there. It should be the only tab in the window. You may also want ChatGPT open as the first tab.
So right now, as I type up one article I if i have a related tangent I type out that sentence at the bottom in the article post then i immediately return to the incomplete paragraph once it’s out or if I’m stuck. It’s a basically a get to list.
This happens over and over again which is good if the topic is related.
For the related tangents, try to complete them and continue the same process. At the end it may be out of order, order it and correct.
For unrelated tangents, open a new post, give a related title and start to do the same thing until stuck. Then if stuck return to one of the other posts’ tab and an incomplete section.
Having all these open to click through can be constantly inspiring.
Hope this helps… back to my articles feeling fresh from changing topics 😉
